Usually I just want to close the browser windows and be done with it. What I found annoying about Session Saver, and what I find annoying about the 2.* option, is that I rarely want to continue where I left off. You could use plugins like Session Saver to restore them the next time you started Firefox. When you want to restore the contents of that folder, expand it on the Bookmarks menu and use the last item on the list, "Open All in Tabs". Firefox should show a small dialog where you can name a new folder that will contain the tabs, and control whether it is added to the end of the Bookmarks Menu or somewhere else. Right-click any tab in the window, then click "Bookmark All Tabs".
